Eating Al Fresco

Before Sofia was born I would sit out back to get warm and have my coffee. We didn't have the flagstone patio then. I wrote in my journal about Sofia and pondered what "it" would be like. Well here is the image of "it". So sweet really. Here she is at nine months enjoying eggs! oh and the garden.

A day at the Beach

These are different days but it gives a few highlights of why we love it here. Romantic dinner at the beach with a sunset.

Dog days

Laura at Dog beach. I usually get to surf alone here and have had lots of good days. The bonus is Buddy being able to be leash free at the beach. Now that Sofia is here I think I've surfed twice. Hope to get out there tomorrow.

My Accomplishments

This thing makes alot of noise. I really like it.

This is just last week. I learn fast.

I used to use this contraption alot but not so much now because I can roll everywhich way and like to stand up holding onto the couch now. I scream if they make me sit down. I can stand up for hours.

In the Kitchen

This is six months and she just got into a high chair. Rice cereal is all she got here.

On a recent trip to North beach in SF she was a big girl and enjoyed a meal.

She loves to make phonecalls.

She likes her cup with the straw.

Sofia is a good eater and very attentive in the morning to everyone in the kitchen.Her favorite foods are zuchini and avocado.At nine months she eats by herself (alot).

Our labor of Love

The backyard in summer 2006 when we moved to Los Osos. This is about a year later. I made the paths and the mounds and Eva put in the DG.

This is a year later. It looks better at this size. I love to garden but I killed so many plants here. We have very alkaline sand. I am resigned to plant native lupine, sage and mediteranean plants.

Going to the Beach

Sofia fell asleep right away. she gets lulled to sleep by the sound of the ocean.

Todd wanted to surf and it was such a great day so we walked for an hour down the beach. Sofia didn't see much.

We find the Park

Just a few blocks away is a cute playground. In order to stay sane Todd walks up there. Sofia swings for 5 minutes and then she wants to go home. Oh- Todd says she likes to slide too. In this photo she is eight months old.
