Canning again

Breakfast together, ah 7 am. Home made bread and fresh eggs... and good company

Had to put on my wings before we go out...

Later i decided its time to start canning. Last year I did 3 boxes of tomatos at 20 # each , peaches, apricots, figs and apple 10 to 20 # each. we are still eating all this food. But if I want this same goodness next winter I'd better get going.

4th of July!

It was a beautiful monday, light winds, sunny and warm great for a surf beach day. We gathered all our stuff and by 8 am we were ready to play! it was "my turn " with sofia and Todd was already at the beach surfing. i made us breakfast, and got to the beach to meet him and surf later.

This is about as far as Sofia goes in and to her , she had an epic surf day.

Later it was time to jelly roll and get warm in the sand. She made a house to hang out in

We ended up getting take out from Taco Temple, surfing twice each and going home for bed at 5 pm... Sofia fell alseep after a bath and we listened to Morro bay fire works from the porch. This was our 6th July here.

The doors and fixed window trim all needed to be stained as well as the window and floor trim

We are trying to decide if we want wood flooring or laminate. At first I hated the laminate but later decided let's put laminate in and if we don't like it we can change it later. Sofia is laying it out for display

Deciding on the lamnate flooring. I thought it looked ok and was very durable and sun resistant... hmm what shade

I tried to match the trim and the floor in the adjoning living room. This was really nice but I chose a lighter color. There's the tile too for a 3 x 9 entry way

Since Sofia eats icecream every night.. I figured I make some. This is no cook peach and vanilla

We also dried some bananas and made peach leather, which turned out really nice
